Quantum Physics in Junior High

My students need 30 copies of "A Brief History of Time" for something to challenge their minds, and thinking about the universe.

My Students

The universe is a fascinating place, from the tiniest particles to the hugest galaxies. My students desperately want to know more about it.

One of my classes this year is a small group of students who are highly gifted in mathematics and science.

We use a college textbook for math, but they have many questions about science that our eighth grade text doesn't even begin to address. These are the students who will be our future scientists and engineers, if we can keep them interested in learning.

My Project

A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking is a book that is incredibly thought provoking, and will inspire these students to truly think. A class set will allow all of my students to delve into its explanations. It will answer some of my students' questions, but more importantly it will inspire them to ask more.

Donating to this project is an investment in our country's future.

I want to encourage talented students to work hard and think hard, and having challenging texts will help me do that.
