This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are always hungry. Some come to school without having breakfast for a variety of reasons. Lunch for fourth graders begin at 11:50 am.

My students need snacks in the morning to give them fuel on the days when they have to tackle the upcoming California state tests!

My school is great but does not have the funding to provide snacks for students on the days students have to take the ELPAC and SBAC tests. I am asking for a variety snacks from protein bars to animal crackers, and more to help feed my hungry students.

I know my students will succeed if they have the energy. They will perform better on the reading, writing, math, and English learning tests. The state tests are not timed and are always given in the morning. Students on empty stomachs will not do well on state tests.

Any donation you can contribute is greatly appreciated. Both my students and I thank you for your help!
