My Project

I am always looking to add good quality picture books to our theme book bins that are used in kindergarten, first grade and second grade classrooms. One benefit of picture books as an educational resource is that they can provide children access to content that they would otherwise not experience. Picture books are building blocks that promote literacy and vocabulary.

For young readers, picture books are an important part of learning how to read as well as support their language.

Books are also rich with illustrations and photos that help enhance reading comprehension. We would love books like I'm NOT just a Scribble, The Pigeon HAS to Go to School, and The Book with No Pictures. I am also asking for The Ultimate Office AdjustaView 10-Pocket Desk Reference Organizer to hold the students' comprehension skill posters to access if they forget what they have to do after reading a book.
