My Students

Our amazing primary school is located in the heart of an impoverished and highly immigrant neighborhood. Our students quickly become enthusiastically literate, primarily due to our strong emphasis on reading and the value we place on good literature.

As we face creative solutions to education in the fall, it is imperative that our school library provides high quality and interesting books to ensure that literacy thrives.

During the recent season of distance learning, I as the school librarian and reading specialist was thrilled that many of our library books went home with the children. A number of these books were so thoroughly loved, they will need to be replaced. Would you consider supporting our young, eager readers?

My Project

Our amazing primary school located in the center of a low income, highly immigrant community, and has been very successful in bringing a high level of literacy to our eager students. They love books and and are constantly challenged to become better readers!

Many of the books in our school library need to be replaced as they have become quite worn out, and others lost when they were taken home during quarantine.

School funds to replace them are limited during this time

Quality new books will inspire our students to keep reading and will promote literacy for years to come!
