Quality Art Supplies for Low Income Students

Help me give my students these high quality art supplies, the Blick colored pencil sets are high quality pencils that have great color and coverage. I have ordered 12 sets 6 for each school.

My Students

My students come from diverse backgrounds with many parents working more than one job. My students love art! Both of my schools are Title 1 schools with the majority of students being low income.

I want to provide high quality art supplies for all of my students.

This group of students often have no access to art supplies at home. Many students have never painted outside of school. I want them to experience using quality art supplies to create which helps them understand the world differently. I want the students to want to do art.

My Project

My students have great imaginations! I want to support their imaginations and their desire to learn with art supplies that work well produce an exceptional piece of art

The Blick colored pencil sets will help students create stunning portraits.

I teach the upper grades how to create a properly proportioned human face at the beginning of the year by creating a portrait which can be transformed into a Halloween, fall, or winter themed portrait. This gives them the background knowledge to create a self portrait later in the year. Having quality supplies helps students to achieve a great outcome.

All of the students in the schools benefit from the use of good quality colored pencils, sharpies and liquid watercolors. Your help allows students to try supplies they may not have a chance to use except in school.
