Help me give my students (especially the soft-spoken ones) a fun, engaging, throwable microphone that will allow them to be heard and participate in all kinds of lessons.
My students are an amazing group of kids who are chomping at the bit to learn all they can in 4th grade. They are so excited to be here. Our school, comprised of K-5 students, is focusing this year on having a growth mindset.
My kids have already taken this idea to heart.
They are hard workers and dedicated learners. My students already understand that mistakes and failures are parts of learning and help us grow; so they are not afraid to try in my class! They welcome the challenges I give them because they understand that hard things help their brains grow and become smarter!
My Project
We are requesting a fun, engaging, throwable microphone that will allow them to be heard and participate in all kinds of lessons. This Qball is a wireless mic within a soft ball that you can pass, drop, throw, and roll. It's a throwable microphone to encourage students to share their answers, ideas, thoughts, and questions with the whole class. It allows everyone to be heard and learn from each other.
I have a lot of quiet, soft-spoken students who have a lot to contribute and share with their peers, but it's hard to hear them when they can't be easily heard.
The Qball will help to give my students more of a voice during lessons. It will also encourage more active engagement from the kids because, who wouldn't want to have the chance to share and participate in class when you get the opportunity to speak into a fun, throwable microphone?!
