Help me give my students the opportunity to work collaboratively by assembling jigsaw puzzles. The wooden drawer with flat top will enable two classes to save their work over multiple periods.
Using materials from the project, students with disabilities will be able to use SEL time during class periods to assemble jigsaw puzzles as a team. The classes have already experimented with using small, individual puzzles. There was great interest among the students in completing the challenge, in addition to conversation and student inspired assistance among the class. Working on bigger puzzle projects...more pieces and more hands/perspectives needed...will bring a unified collaboration to the class activity. The small special education classes include sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students of varying abilities. Thank you in advance for your support!
