Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
What I love most about my students is their resilience, creativity, and the unique ways they see the world. Each of them brings something special to our classroom, and despite the challenges they face—whether academic, behavioral, or sensory—they show up with potential and curiosity. In our alternative school setting, many of my SPED, autistic, and behaviorally struggling students find it difficult to stay focused or regulate their emotions. Puzzles offer them a calming, hands-on activity that helps improve their concentration, critical thinking, and fine motor skills. More importantly, puzzles give them a sense of accomplishment and peace in a structured yet flexible way. These resources will not only support their academic growth but also nurture their emotional well-being and self-confidence.
