My Students

Our crew is a set of amazing students at our growing school on the city's east side. They are active learners who take in everything around them. This crew is pushed to reach high expectations, and they excel each and every day. Our crew exemplifies our habits of character: responsibility, cooperation, compassion, integrity, perseverance, curiosity, and creativity through their learning and actions.

Our crew is diverse in so many ways.

Our crew leaders strive to meet their diverse needs in both academic and social-emotional ways. They bring so much love and joy with them to school each day.

My Project

Each day, the students in our building participate in a structured, exploratory time called Labs! During this time, students explore, imagine, engineer, and create around their expedition topic and grade level science standards.

An important part of this time is to allow our students to collaborate in a low risk environment.

Students of all skill sets are able to feel successful and participate in meaningful work with their peers. One way we can encourage this is through the use of puzzles! Labs is one of our crews' favorite parts of the day because they get to explore, build, and play with their peers.
