Puzzles for Problem Solving

My Students

My students love to be active learners. They are very inquisitive students who want to know the ins and outs of everything they interact with. Usually, when I pick my students up to begin class, they each have something they just can't wait to share with me, ranging from how excited they are to make ice cream, a hands-on project that turned liquid into a solid, to how a big brother helped one student with her homework last night. Each student is so excited to be at school.

But with that excitement comes the reality of having to meet the vast needs of my students, and I do that through differentiation; which means: lots of stuff!

And that's where donors from DonorsChoose comes in! You are the ones helping me meet the needs of all the students in my classroom.

My Project

Part of putting a floor puzzle together is working together as a team to complete it. Our school has 5 core values, one of them is: Team. With the addition of these floor puzzles to our classroom, students will be able to work together as a team to complete each unique puzzle. The puzzles I selected are big enough for a small team (2-3 students) to complete together. I selected a variety of puzzles for all difficulty levels - 100 pieces, different shapes, double sided pieces, etc. I selected these so students would also be challenged to use their problem solving skills to determine how to put each puzzle together.

Each puzzle is unique and thus creates its own challenges for both Team and Problem Solving!

I am excited about the possibility of bringing these new challenges to our growing puzzle collection!
