Putting Our Hands on Literacy.

Help me give my students materials that will connect their hands to the important literary components in their minds. These hands on materials will help my students participate in small group learning skills appropriate for their grade level.

My Students

Due to COVID-19 my students are working even harder than normal to be the best they can possibly be. Reading is a crucial part of their success across all curriculum and I know they could benefit greatly from this project.

My Project

These materials will be used during small group instruction to help kids connect the important literacy skills in their minds. These tools will be extremely beneficial to children who benefit from tactile learning as well as visual learners. Many of the literacy skill taught in 3rd grade require complex thought and these materials will make those ideas more concrete for learners. It is extremely important that our students do more than memorize these skills and have the ability to apply the skills in a meaningful way. I think these resources will do just that.
