My Project
My Kindergarteners are uniquely brought together by their parents who are serving in our U.S. military services. They have come from places all around the world, and may be together for a short time or for a few years. Because of the transient nature of their parents' livelihoods, their learning environment needs to have a sense of permanence and stability in order for them to feel successful.
We use puzzles in the classroom, not only to develop fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, but also to promote a sense of community while working in small groups.
The puzzles also help my students understand the importance of cooperation and sharing when working together to complete a project!
