My Students
I have the pleasure of teaching at one of the largest, and diverse high schools in Mississippi. We are located in the upper north part of Mississippi, minutes away from Memphis. My students aren't afraid to be themselves, something I admire them for.
My choirs have a large spectrum of personalities, backgrounds, and walks of life.
Music is what brings us together. I am happy that my classroom is where young people can put their differences aside and come together for a common goal, which is to make beautiful music.
My Project
My students and I were fortunate enough to get a project funded for music stands for the choral classroom. It has been fantastic having these music stands in class, and the kids are really enjoying them. These music stands allow the students to keep their hands free while singing, which gives the ability use to use more kinesthetic gestures. The only issue with the stands is that there is no where to store them when we are not using them.
The music stand cart will allow us to store our music stands when they are not in use, and help to keep the choir room neat and tidy.
