My students need basic office supplies, storage options, and a document camera.

My Students
My students are from a small rural county on the outskirts of the school district. We are a Title 1 school where the majority of our students get free and reduced lunch. They are proud of where they come from and thankfully they are not afraid of a little hard work. There are quite a few students here at the high school that have to work in order to help their family meet their basic needs.
They may not have the best of everything, or a lot of anything for that matter, but they have heart and they are willing to share what they do have with each other.
They have history, and that is what makes their bond strong. A lot of the students here have been together since elementary school; some of them have been friends since day care.
My Project
We are looking for effective ways to properly dispose of papers we don't want others to see as well as a way to properly store our items. We currently have supplies being stored in the cardboard boxes they were shipped in and it makes our classroom look messy. It also worries me about the condition of the materials in the boxes when the custodians come in and mop the floor.
In addition, the document camera would be a great tool to use with my tactile and visual learners.
It will help my students with writing and editing exercises. If they are able to see the writing process as it happens, they are more likely to grasp the concept.
