This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Despite living in a low-income/high poverty area, my kiddos still deserve the best technology and resources the world has to offer!
I want my students to know that they have what they need, when they need it, to help them learn and grow!
My students are the future of the world, and I want to impact their future by ensuring they have the tools they need to be successful. I can't express to you in a limited number of characters how wonderful and deserving each one of my learners are.
My Project
Standardized testing is hard and tiring. Unfortunately, it is not a fun experience for children nor teachers.
In order to boost our students' spirits during standardized testing this year, we want our students to be able to put on a "thinking cap" they have designed.
These paper hats will be designed by each student in my school, from Pre-K to 5th grade, and each student will be able to wear it during our school's standardized testing times. These paper hats will become our students' "thinking caps" that will alleviate some of the stressors of taking such a rigorous test. We believe in our students, and want them to believe in themselves!
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
