My students need a cabinet to store bathroom and cleaning supplies in a safe and organized way.

My Students

Our school is in the heart of Brooklyn, NY.

It includes students from Pre-K to eighth grade, and it is a melting pot of descendants from the West Indies.

The school is in a high poverty area, and about 95% of the students in the school receive free lunch. There are 18 energetic, three and four-year-old children in my class but there are not a lot of funds to enrich these students' education because of the budget cuts and although our families give us support they can't always help out financially.

My Project

A PreK classroom can be a very dirty place sometimes. Hands, tables, toys and everything else my students come in contact with get germy. To keep the classroom clean I have to have lots of cleaning supplies. These supplies should be locked away where no child will have access to it. However I don't have a place to lock up these supplies and my students can get to them way to easily. This scares me!

A cabinet that locks will keep the students safe from the hazardous cleaning solutions.

It will also store all of the soap, tissues and baby wipes we use to try to keep the kids from sharing their germs.
