My Project
I am so lucky to work in an inclusive Kindergarten classroom with 18 amazing students including 3 ELL students and 5 students who have autism. This diverse group has lead to a classroom focus on empathy and inclusion.
What I have noticed is, no matter what language or disability, all students enjoy play.
This is a bond between all abilities and encourages students make friends, feel happy and to want to learn, because it is fun! I am so excited to be able to give my students hands on learning tools to help them enjoy the school day and grow their independence. Giving students choice along with hands on purposeful play items will encourage success for all students in a fun and memorable way. Our School's theme is Play and ingenuity and having these tools to play successfully is the biggest gift!
