Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school is one of the largest Title 1 schools in NYC, located in Elmhurst, Queens. Majority of my Kindergarten students are English Language Learners. My goal is to provide everything I can to put a BIG smile on their faces and learn through engaging STEM activities!

My students always look forward to the end of the day where they let their imaginations go wild during purposeful play center!

This is the time where they interact with one another to set a goal in the purposeful play center. The students love to build train tracks as if they are on the 7 train just down the block from their apartment! They also love to build towers, cars, houses with magnetic tiles!

With your help and support, my students will appreciate having these NEW STEM toys in our purposeful play centers! It will also encourage them to talk and question each other during playtime!
