This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My first graders would appreciate your support! We are in need of an air purifier. Our school is only a few miles from the Altadena wildfires and although our school did not sustain any damage, the close proximity to the wildfires resulted in poor air quality. As a result of the unhealthy air quality, our school has implemented an "inclement weather" policy, which means that students are not allowed to be outside not only for physical education classes but also during breaks and lunch. It is recommended that everyone remain inside, and wearing a mask is highly recommended. The air purifier will bring much-needed relief to my classroom, to overcome the poor air quality outside.

The air purifier will provide clean air in the classroom, further supporting a healthier classroom environment and will also help students who have asthma.

The water bottles will keep my students hydrated while being in class. All water fountains are located outside and having water accessible in class would reduce the need of having students going outdoors. Thank you in advance for supporting my students and my classroom.
