My Project
These puppets will enhance the print rich classroom that all teachers strive to create. Preschool classroom libraries are a place that all students really enjoy as they learn to read independently! Every puppet that is placed in my library is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to take literacy one step further. All of these puppets have been chosen with my visually impaired students in mind as are not always able to access pictures in books as they are being read by the gen ed teacher. This will make learning come alive and personal!
Post pandemic, we have found that young students have not had as many learning opportunities such as going to the library for story time and fewer opportunities to interact with their peers.
With these new puppets, my students with visual impairments will be able to interact with their peers and have fun learning with each other.
