This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

With puppets, folders, pencil pouches, and seat sacks, my students will gain organization of their school supplies and engage in the fun of social-emotional learning with plays. My goal is joyful learning and my second graders will get to identify their feelings and take breaks during classwork with the use of puppets.

Adding puppets to my social-emotional mini-lessons will promote self-coping skills they can practice when visiting my classroom Calming Corner.

When students gain independence to self-regulate they become more independent and confident learners!

Having their school supplies in order provides organization and a sense of ownership of their materials and complete their assignments.
