My Project
I am the librarian of a K-6 library that serves a Title One rural school in Arkansas. More than 75% of my students receive free and reduced lunch. One of my priorities as a librarian is developing and encouraging creativity skills. One of the things I've wanted to do since I was in the library is add a puppet theater with stand that students can use during check out time. This would not only encourage creativity but also help students with social and emotional learning skills as they learn to work together. I would love to offer this to students to use with our puppets we already have.
This project allows me to add a puppet theater to encourage my students to develop creativity skills.
