My Students

Imagine the most eager, excited, and brilliant young people and you will know what my students are like. As a classroom community, my students work together daily to lift one another up so everyone is successful.

Daily, my students bring their best and together, we build upon the amazing asset of having such a diverse group of learners.

Our school houses our world's future leaders and we take preparing them for the future very seriously. We want to give them the best!

My Project

These materials will support developing oral language, a skill necessary for our scholars to become successful in our world. Oral language supports all areas of literacy allowing vocabulary development and building strength and consistency in phonetic understanding. As students become writers, it is important that they first tell their stories out loud.

As a classroom of language learners, we are always looking for ways to support creative conversation.

Puppets promote oral language and offer an interesting approach to language instruction. Students learn best when they are having fun and while my students have loved making their own puppets out of paper and craft sticks, having well made and colorful puppets sets the stage for a different level of creativity.
