My Project

Preschool should be a magical and joyful learning experience for young humans. Students should have multiple opportunities during the day to learn in playful, low-risk and rigorous ways.

Puppets in preschool support social emotional learning, fine motor skills, storytelling, and language development.

The shy child, or young child has an opportunity to be more sociable through the medium of a puppet. As the students take on a character, the puppets can teach children about their emotions. Wearing a puppet helps improves fine motor coordination as the puppets move and come alive. Storytelling becomes dramatic play as students retell fairy tales or reenact personal experiences with puppets. Puppets allow gestures, sounds, and other forms of nonverbal communication to build a bridge to oral language.

Young humans deserve a school environment that stimulates imagination and opens their minds to creative learning. Play is the foundation for all learning for young children. Playing with puppets is one way to provide them with a purposeful, playful experience.
