I teach Physical Education at an elementary school located in North Miami. My students now have recess in addition to PE, which means that the demand for physical education supplies has almost doubled in order to accommodate all students.
My school has a high number of students who are still affected after the hurricanes devastated our community.
My school also has a high number of students who are high poverty, ESOL, and ELL, and there are a few who are Special Education and gifted.
Our students love to exercise, but due to the devastation of the hurricanes, the parks, and surrounding grounds are still not safe for them to play in.
My Project
Recently, one of our speakers stopped working and the warranty expired last year. We desperately need a replacement.
The resources I am requesting will not only assist my students in class but also serve as an enhancement as we will be using top-of-the-line technology during PE.
The Bluetooth system is an extra enhancement as my students will be able to connect to audio devices, like the iPhone, Smartphone, Tablet, MP3 Player, PC, etc.
to play their favorite songs. We would also be able to instantly connect to the Internet and view live-streamed lessons/videos about taking care of our bodies, sports, and healthy eating, etc.
This project will make a difference as you will be giving our students access to online resources that are currently available to them.
