I teach Physical Education at an elementary school located in North Miami. My students now have recess in addition to PE, which means that the demand for physical education supplies has almost doubled in order to accommodate all students.
My school has a high number of students who were and are still affected by the pandemic.
My school also has a high number of students who are high poverty, ESOL, and ELL, and there are a few who are Special Education and gifted.
Our students love to exercise, but due to the CDC guidelines, social distancing poses a lot of challenges.
My Project
The resources I am requesting will not only assist my students in class but also serve as an enhancement as we will be using top-of-the-line sports equipment during team games.
Most of our balls are deflated or in need of repair, so I am requesting ball repair kits with sealant, as well as 12 new balls for our flag-football team.
We need at least 5 more cones, in order to set social-distancing perimeters and guidelines during team practice and games.
This project will make a difference as you will be giving our students access to resources that are currently available to them.
