I teach Physical Education and coach the basketball and flag ball teams at an elementary school located in North Miami. As previously mentioned, we have flag ball and basketball teams, which means that the demand for physical education supplies has almost doubled in order to accommodate all students.
My school has a high number of students who are still being affected financially by the pandemic.
My school also has a high number of students who are high poverty, ESOL, and ELL, and there are a few who are Special Education and gifted.
Our students love to exercise, but due to socially distancing guidelines, many challenges are hindering them from physical interactions on the PE court/outdoors.
My Project
The resources I am requesting will assist my students when we have games, and also serve as an enhancement as we will be using top-of-the-line sports equipment.
Most of our balls are deflated or in need of repair, so I am requesting ball repair kits with sealant, as well as 12 new balls for our flag football and basketball teams.
We need cones, in order to set social-distancing perimeters and guidelines during team practice and games.
This project will make a difference as you will be giving our students access to resources that are currently available to them.
