My Project

I teach Kindergarten in a diverse and inclusive elementary school. Our school works hard to meet each child at their personal learning level, and help them grow to reach their highest potential. Each year I have the pleasure of welcoming a new group of students to our wonderful community. My students are eager to participate in learning reading and math skills, and love to sing and dance their way through lessons.

My students are curious, eager to learn, and excited to build their math and reading skills!

Each day we engage in music and movement while learning reading and math skills. Students also spend time on individualized lessons to grow these skills at a pace that works for them. The trouble is, sometimes we need a little help turning up the volume so everyone can get the most out of these experiences.

Our current Bluetooth speaker is just not loud enough for all students to hear the music. A new, more powerful speaker should help each and every student to feel the music and rock to the learning beat! Our class is also in need of new, more sturdy headphones to use with our personal learning devices. The current set has seen better days, and we often spend valuable learning time trouble shooting issues that would be avoided with new hardware. My hope is to increase engagement and participation in both whole group and individual learning by upgrading our equipment.
