Do you remember when you were in school and needed paper and pencils to do your classwork?
My students are a group of forty-six fourth graders who attend school in a growing Florida city.
They are students who are enrolled in a self-contained gifted program. My students love to learn and given the right tools to succeed, they will do just that.
My Project
Today, our students use their electronic devices instead of paper and pencil. It is important that we provide the students with the resources needed in our modern society. My students can use this device in all subject areas for researching facts for their quarterly projects. These quarterly assignments include a novel bookmark project, a Florida city brochure and float, and a science fair project. They can also complete comprehensive reading and math programs daily. This will allow my students to have other resources besides their textbooks in order to foster their creativity and enhance their learning through a variety of media rich programs.
This i-pad mini will offer my students a multitude of apps and interactive learning tools.
Hands-on learning and critical thinking opportunities are at their fingertips. The students will have a learning experience inside and outside the classroom.
