My students need a classroom printer so they can print out research materials, writing projects, and various class needs.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"Ready, Set, Learn"! That is how we start our mornings together in our classroom. Many of my students have struggled with school in their early formative years and have seen their peers moving on, while they are still in the same place. But attitude is everything and I want my students to understand that they can progress and learn. Eventhough, many are living in a low socioeconomic setting and have special learning needs, they are eager to learn.
I have the immense privilege of getting to work with an amazing group of special education students, who show me everyday what perseverance and dedication can achieve.
My Project
A classroom printer, including ink, would be a great essential tool for my students to help in their learning. Currently not having a printer, means that we are not able to immediately print out research that we find on the internet or having to struggle with that challenging fine motor skill of hold 2 keys at once to highlight a text.
Being able to have a hard copy of a text that they can underline or circle easily, makes a big difference for reading comprehension or being able to print out picture of a subject or word they are studying is great motivator to continue with their research writing.
