Help me give my students the ability to WRITE and PUBLISH their very own book!

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Encouraging students to not only write but publish their very own books gives them a unique opportunity to learn, grow and explore the boundaries of their own potential. This project will help them do that! Books can seem like mysterious objects that simply appear of their own volition on the shelves of classrooms, libraries and bookstores. But once your students dive in and discover the publishing process for themselves, they’ll understand just how much hard work and dedication has gone into every book they’ve read.
Having published a book themselves, my students will remember the deliberate choices they made when telling their stories and be able to compare and contrast their own writing strategies with those of other published authors.
This, in turn, helps improve both reading comprehension and writing—and makes for more interesting class discussions!
