My students need a printer and five cases of paper in the classroom so that they can publish their writing pieces. We have requested back-up toner so that we have materials in reserve.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As we have concluded our 1st writing unit of the school semester, it has been a great pleasure to notice the enjoyment of writing my class has. My students have shown the desire to publish their work and create books for our classroom, however with a broken printer, it has been very hard to do so.
In class we have a very diverse group of learners.
With a class of 28 students there is always a learning buzz going on. My students have a drive to work when they have a goal to work on. They LOVE being able to experience things they cannot do at home.
My Project
As my students are preparing to start Middle School in a new setting there will be a lot of changes. We are trying to get them ready for the adjustment by assigning similar assignments. Having a working printer in our classroom will allow students to type and print out their work. They will also be able to complete research projects and print out found materials. They will learn how to manipulate the Internet and type up type up their own work, thus learning they letter on the keyboard.
The donations will be GREATLY appreciated.
My co-teacher and I will easily be able to print out documents for our class. Students will be able to type up their own work and print out research materials. With this new printer, my class will be able to have more learning resources at their finger tips.
