My Project

Do you remember being worried about starting your period at school? Now imagine being in elementary school—just 10 or 11 years old—and totally unprepared for that milestone.

At our Elementary School in Charleston, SC, a Title I school with over 350 students, many of our girls don’t have access to the supplies they need when menstruation begins.

For them, what should be a normal part of growing up can feel overwhelming, embarrassing, and stressful.

The Puberty & Periods Project will make sure every girl is prepared with discreet period kits filled with pads, wipes and deodorant. My goal is to empower them with confidence and dignity, knowing they’re not alone.

Your donation will help us normalize menstruation, reduce stigma, and make sure no student has to feel scared or ashamed because of a lack of supplies.

Together, we can provide dignity, comfort, and confidence to every growing girl at Sanders Clyde Elementary.
