My Students

I am teaching 6th and 7th grade in Baltimore City, Maryland. My students are amazing, bright scholars excited and ready for the new school year. Many of the students are learning English as a second language and need extra support in the classroom. I am trying to find the best ways to support each student and ensure they succeed. My students are vibrant and excited to learn. They have the energy and capability to learn and I want to be there to see it! We always discuss that we need to work as a team so that we can all succeed. In order to do that, I need the supplies to do my part!

My Project

The goal of this project is to ensure that each of my students will have snacks and chicken soup to enjoy over the Winter break. Many of my students' families struggle financially and depend on the food they receive from school. During this holiday break, a period that should be full of relief and relaxation can cause panic and distress because many of my students may miss a meal or two. I want my students to still indulge on snacks no matter if they are in the school building or at home during winter break. I want my students to still have a hot meal during these cold wintery days.

Moreover, upon each student obtaining these soups and snacks, they will immediately feel love, and they will know we have their best interest at heart.

My students will appreciate this act of kindness very much and it will thusly inspire them to be more altruistic and loving of others. Your contribution will allow my students to understand that they are loved by people close and by far. This sense of love from others will motivate them to new heights.
