Help me give my students a variety of snacks to have during testing such us Ritz crackers, Goldfish crackers, Rice Krispies Treats, fruit gummies, beef jerky packs, Chex Mix packs and a variety of chips.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Providing snacks to students during testing can have a significant impact on their cognitive performance. When students are hungry, their ability to concentrate and focus diminishes, which can negatively affect test outcomes. Healthy snacks like fruit gummies, beef jerky, and whole grains can provide the necessary energy boost, helping to sustain attention and improve memory retention. By offering a variety of healthy snacks, I will not only support my students' immediate testing performance but also promote long-term healthy eating habits. This simple yet effective strategy can contribute to a more equitable testing environment, where all my students taking the test will have the opportunity to perform at their best. Encouraging snack breaks also allows students a moment to relax and recharge, which can alleviate some of the stress associated with testing.
