My Students
I teach a group of amazing, curious, and hardworking general and special education students in first grade. About sixty percent of my students have a range of disabilities, some of which include learning disabilities, physical disabilities, emotional disturbances, speech and language impairments, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Like any other class, my students' abilities and interests range across a wide spectrum.
All of my students require individual or small group attention.
Each day, I incorporate all of their learning styles, interests, and special education accommodations into our lessons. Some of my students prefer visual or auditory cues for learning, while some require a more kinesthetic or tactile approach. My students come into our classroom each day with a love of school and a desire to grow as a learner.
My Project
We would love a printer in our classroom! Unfortunately, there are many times throughout each day, printers go down or there's a long line at the copy machine. Having a printer in our classroom would allow us to print materials in an instant without having to leave the classroom, check a printer's status, or wait in line! A printer will improve our students' learning regardless of the learning situation we are in.
This printer will allow us to print, copy and scan documents, lessons, and activities as well as weekly newsletters without missing a beat of classroom instruction.
This printer will allow us to make the most of my classroom by creating a classroom that has the essentials! So many times throughout each day, printers go down or there's a long line at the copy machine. This printer will also allow us to present my virtual lessons in a more colorful and engaging manner as I share my resources with my students via Zoom each day.
