These second graders do the best they can with what they have. They are kind, caring and ready to change the world. Unfortunately, many of these young students have difficulty completing practice assignments at home because of lack of supplies and resources leaving most learning to the classroom where these children are also at a disadvantage compared to their suburban counterparts. The classroom is their home away from home where they can be safe and grow their young minds. My students have young inquisitive minds. They have a huge will and want to learn. Please help provide necessities and aids so these students can prove themselves to the rest of the world how great they can be with the proper tools.
My Project
These students are showing amazing growth with flexible seating. They prove daily that when we meet each students diverse needs in the learning environment it is undoubtedly helping them succeed. Thus, encouraging them and building confidence to push them further in their daily learning. Allowing students to be free with movement and comfortable provides a safe place for their bodies and their minds. A still body is a still mind . The idea learning environment is essential for anyone. These items have been selected for Students based on what has proven to work for them through trial and error in our school.
