This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our mission is to create an inclusive and supportive environment for all students, regardless of their background or circumstances.
One critical area we’ve identified is the lack of access to feminine sanitary products.
Many of our students face financial challenges, and the cost of these essential items can be a burden. As a result, some students miss school days or feel uncomfortable due to inadequate access.
We are committed to changing this. Our goal is to provide free feminine sanitary products to all students in need. By doing so, we can ensure that every student can focus on their education without worrying about basic necessities.
Why We Need Your Support:
Equity and Dignity: Access to feminine hygiene products is a matter of equity and dignity. No student should have to choose between attending class and managing their menstrual health.
Reducing Absenteeism: When students lack access to these products, they may miss school during their periods. By providing free supplies, we can reduce absenteeism and promote consistent attendance.
Empowering Students: Ensuring access to feminine products empowers students to participate fully in their education. It sends a powerful message that we care about their well-being.
How You Can Make a Difference: We are seeking to establish a sustainable supply of feminine sanitary products. Your contribution will directly impact our students’ lives by:
Purchasing pads, tampons, and other necessary items.
Setting up discreet distribution points within the school.
Educating students about menstrual health and hygiene.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
