I have 58 eager to learn sixth grade students.

Our sixth grade is departmentalized, so that students have two teachers. They have one teacher for Language Arts and Social Studies and another teacher for Math and Science. All of my students are excited for the opportunities our school is going to provide for them as they approach middle school. My students were selected through a competitive lottery system. Our school has a waiting list of many families because of our core values, high expectations and our positive reputation in the community. Our school is brand new and is going to provide amazing opportunities for the 830 new students!

My Project

All of the books listed will be added to my classroom library to provide a greater reading range of books for my students to check out. The bean bag chair will be added to our classroom reading area to provide fun reading environment. The Cameo will allow me to create engaging and exciting bulletin boards around our classroom.

Our school does not have a library; because of this students are only able to check out books from the classroom teacher's supplies and the public library.

As this is my first year teaching sixth grade I only have a limited amount of books that are at their reading levels. By donating to my project you would be providing those books that help students continue to expand their reading ranges. You would also make a difference of creating an engaging and fun learning environment.
