My students need eye exams and glasses so they can see!
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Wilson's classroom raised $2,603

My Students
My students come from all over Brooklyn.
72% of our students are low-income (qualify for free lunch) and almost 1/4 have a special-education plan.
Our school prides itself on providing co-teachers in many classes in order to maximize support for all students. Our school makes efforts to be more integrated than most NYC public schools, and we believe in the philosophy that students will do well if they can. If they are not succeeding in some way, there must be some problem or issue that needs to be resolved and we work with the student to find out what that is.
My Project
Some of our students need eyeglasses and cannot afford them. This project will provide eye exams and glasses for 30 needy students in our school. I have students who really struggle to see the board or read, and it interferes with their ability to participate in the classroom.
This project will enable National Eye Care to come to our school and examine the eyes of up to 30 students.
Warby Parker will donate glasses for these students so that they will have the clarity of vision needed to succeed in school!
Please consider donating to this project and help my students see clearly. Thank you!
