My Project
Math requires students to show their reasoning and their thinking. This can be a challenging skill to build. Often we think of math as a skill that is separate from its academic counterparts. However, the justification process that is found in the debates about who dun it, is the same in math.
Thinking about the why and how is universal.
These mystery puzzles and games allow students to make the connection of their skills across subject areas and build their deductive reasoning and argumentative skills. Especially, in showing mathematical evidence.
