My Students
At our school, we firmly believe that all children have the capacity to learn. Through this belief, we, as teachers, constantly find creative and new learning approaches to help our students be successful.
This year, I am working with twenty amazing four-year-old preschool students attending our full-day preschool program.
Although there are many differences in language, culture, and learning needs, my students all have more in common than not. They love to learn, find joy in playing and have families who want to provide the best education for their children.
The love of school and learning should last well beyond preschool. Providing fun, caring, adventurous, exciting, and hands-on experiences in these critical early years will set them off on the right foot to success and continued enjoyment in learning for years to come!
The past year has been fantastic! My students have been so excited to receive items that we have had funded through DonorsChoose to use remotely at home. I can't wait to see the excitement on their faces as they explore new materials that help enhance our learning program. We are always grateful when a project gets funded!
My Project
We are in a new classroom this year that has very limited bulletin board space. These frames will allow us to create a display of our students art work that can easily be switched out throughout the year.
As an early childhood classroom we believe that the environment should contain displays of the children's art work.
Our students love to see their work up on the walls. Currently we have string with clothespins to display their art but these frames will give us a permanently mounted solution. We also have our students photos up in the classroom but the frames we have are very cheap and multiple frames have broken glass which is not safe with our young children.
