My Students
Touch screens are great, but students just learning keyboarding skills are more successful with a type cover.
I teach first grade in an urban, high poverty school where students and families face challenges with meeting basic needs.
These students come to school eager to learn, but I must find creative ways to capture their attention. Our tablets have been fantastic but we need some accessories to use them to their full potential.
My Project
These protective keyboard covers will allow students the chance to more easily practice keyboarding. It's easier with the actual click of the keyboard. The attached covers will also serve the dual purpose of protecting the tablets from the inevitable bumps and bruises inflicted by both students and teachers.
My students are very careful with our tablets, but at the end of the day, they are 6 and 7 years old.
These keyboard covers will make it easier to fully use our tablets, while extending their life.
