My Students
My students live in impoverished areas of the city. More than 95% of my students receive government assistance. Some students come to school hungry and without the bare necessities for class. Numerous students have to walk to and from school, even if they live a mile away from the school.
Additionally, all students don’t have an opportunity to dwell in an environment that is safe with positive energy.
Their live are difficult, because they have to maneuver the crime invested areas, where they live. However, students are still eager to learn and they yearn for a better life. My goal is to provide students with everything that they need to succeed.
My Project
Over the years, I have witnessed students in need of personal hygiene items. Females have been in urgent need of personal wipes, because they had an "accident" at school. These young ladies were embarrassed and anxious, because they were without the feminine products that they so urgently need.
I have also observed students who are unclean with soiled facemask and their body odors permeated the class.
We have counseled these students to determine their needs, Additionally, I have also purchased various items for students to take home to use. I'm a firm believer that smelling good makes you feel good.
