Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a first-grade teacher of English Language Learners. My students come from different cultural and educational backgrounds. They all bring into the classroom their rich, cultural experiences.
In my bilingual class, I have to teach and ensure that all my students learn all subjects, including reading, writing, math, and science.
My students are at-risk and come from high poverty. Therefore, due to their limitations, my students are in need of additional resources in order to be able to learn and succeed.
My Project
Currently, we are dealing with a severe virus in our schools. It is necessary that all of my students' work be separated to maintain germs away. In addition to germs, the supplies that I'm requesting will also help my students keep their work organized.
Our school environment must be maintained as clean as possible and it also includes my students' work.
I must ensure that my students stay healthy and in order to do it, I am requesting paper trays, paper organizers, and plastic sleeves. These supplies will ensure that germs do not spread as much among my students.
I do hope that you will support me in maintaining my students' safe.
