This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We all live in the same home, Earth. It is each person's job to take care of our home. I am requesting a variety of books that will help my students learn about protecting Earth and its resources. Many of the books I am requesting will also focus on the importance of the animals that live on Earth. One of my students favorite days of the year is Upcycle Day! After our field trip to the zoo, students bring in recycle materials to create an animal of their choice. Their creations are amazing but also require glue sticks and scissors to create.
Encouraging young students to take care of their home will foster their understanding of taking care of Earth.
I am requesting Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards to allow me to buy resources that will guide our lessons.
