My students need football shoulder pads to protect their upper body. Our school has not been able to purchase new shoulder pads in over 10 years due to financial hardship!

My Students
My students are special because even though our school sits in one of the lowest economic and crime ridden areas in the country, they do not allow that to hold them back. They persevere and do not allow where they come from to dictate where they are going! For many of them, they have great PRIDE in representing our school and community against other schools who might have more than we do. They do not allow this to be an excuse but a driving force to their success!
My Project
Our football coaches slogan and mission is Win Lives & Win Games! We win lives by getting students to participate in an after school activity that keeps them off the street and a possible scholarship to college. However we need to protect these students as well. The design of these new shoulder pads are much safer then our over 10 years old used shoulder pads and will reduce injuries greater than our older pads will. Last season we had many of our student-athletes complaining of shoulder injuries. With support we can replace all of our old pads and make sure of the safety of our student-athletes!
