My Students

Our school is a Title I School, located in a small, rural county. Our classrooms are filled with a diverse makeup of students that include English Language Learners, students with disabilities, and gifted students. Our students are very eager to learn, and they come to school excited for a new day. Most of our students come from low-income households, where there are limited budgets for school materials and supplies; however, their families are very supportive and very involved our school community!

My Project

Our class was blessed to receive five Chromebooks on #bestschoolday last spring! We are requesting shock absorbing covers and keyboard protectors for our new devices. Our students use Chromebooks daily. Those who are performing below grade level use them to access online intervention programs, such as Lexia, Math Facts in a Flash and Accelerated Math, so they can work on skills specific to their individual needs. Students who have mastered the grade level standards use the Chromebooks for acceleration. They can access online programs, such as Moby Max and IXL, that allow them to work at the next level.

We would like to protect our new Chromebooks from daily wear and tear, as well as accidental damage.

The shock absorbing covers will protect them from drops, bumps, and shock of everyday use. The keyboard protector covers are waterproof and dustproof. They will protect against everyday spills, dust, liquids, and other incidents. By protecting our Chromebooks, our students will be able to enjoy them for many years to come!
