Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students live in a high poverty area in New York.
The class consists of general education and special education students.
They love to write and dance. Students have limited exposure to experiences that excite, motivate and inspire them. With budget cuts in education, they are deprived of basic resources.
My Project
We need a laminator so that we are able to save and protect our writing and work. With a laminator, we would be able to reuse many of our classroom resources. Sharing and showing their work is a valuable tool for my students. The smallest things can make the biggest difference in the lives of my students. The pride and self-confidence that this can build are invaluable. Please help my students protect their work!
