My Project
So often as teachers we hear the refrain from students that they do not like to read. As someone who loves to read I know that so much can be done once students find a book that speaks to them as a person. Over the years I have hosted many projects and spent many of my own dollars to create a collection of books that is rich in history, and rich in stories which speak to students of all backgrounds.
The only thing missing at this point is a proper space to present these books.
With your donation to this project I will be able to properly present and display books for students. My goal is to have 3 shelves holding books, and 1 shelf holding books which have to do with our current area of study. All of these books are available to students by choice. The goal is to encourage those students who do not like reading to find a book that speaks to them. The other goal is to continue to encourage those students who have found a love for reading. With your help we can make this happen for my students.
